Tips on improving your grade in physics

  1. What can I do to improve my test and quiz grades?

  1. Attend my extra help sessions after school 2:30 – 3:15 Tuesday and Thursday Room 220) (I have been offering these extra help sessions every week since the year began)
     
  2. Print out the notes I make available online (Student can then spend more time listening and less time copying notes)
     
  3. Print out the test tips that I make available online

  4. *** Do all the online quizzes before each test or quiz ***
     
  5. Create flash cards and study sheet from the test tips sheet
     
  6. Ask more questions in class
     
  7. Review notes each day after school
     
  8. Purchase a blue Barron’s Review Book 

 2. What can I do to improve my homework grade?

a) Come in before school to get help with homework 

b) Be sure to refer to your notes when doing HW (too few students do this) 

3. What can I do to improve my lab grade?

      Finish labs early and come in before school to get advice on how to make improvements.
      Follow the lab guideline sheets carefully (they are extremely detailed)  

4. What can I do to improve my class grade?

a. Increase class participation (Answering and asking questions)

b. Organize notebook and supplies

c. Print out all handouts every Friday

d. Eliminate all distractions
